Left: Originally Officer's Ward Room - Now Sullivans Memorial Area honors the five Sullivan brothers of Waterloo, Iowa. Center: 2nd Division berthing - 50 men,bsn's & seamen were berthed here. Right: Crew washroom and shower - shared by crew members of the division.
Left: Sick Bay - Ship's doctor and pharmacist mate had offices here. Main casualty treatment area aboard ship. Center: Stbd torpedo tubes - added in the 1950's to fire Mark 44's. Right: 40 MM gun Mounts - these were more effective than the more common 20mm. Marine Midland Arena, home of the Buffalo Sabres is in the Background.

Left: IC Switchboard - Internal communications, telephone, and fire control for the 5" Batteries located here. (This guy never tires!) Center: Galley - 3 meals a day were prepared here. During heavy Seas the menu was limited (sandwiches only!) Right: Crew's mess deck - Entire enlisted crew ate and held socials here. In wartime, some men were berthed here.

Center: Original Fletcher class CIC (Combat Information Center) This display is at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington,DC Right: The Sullivans CIC - 10 men worked here using radar, sonar and electronic warfare gear for air and surface search and fire control.
