Toured the Sullivan and Little Rock today. The Croaker had been moved due to construction.
I thought the vessels looked in good condition.
I did notice that a couple remote Gyro indicators
were missing in the outside bridge area.
I thought the paint job on both vessels was better
than the ships at Fall River, Rhode Island.

Watch THE TRUE STORY OF THE FIGHTING SULLIVANS on THE HISTORY CHANNEL on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 at 8 pm ET/PT
They were known as “The Fighting Sullivans” - America’s most famous sailors. Their fraternal bonds were forged in youth; uncannily, in a boat mishap as boys. But, there is a general misconception that they all died on the USS Juneau when it was hit by a
torpedo, but for a time, one of them survived the blast…

I think you have a great webpage about a great ship and crew and want to thank you for all of the work you've done on it! I saw a comment in a military website guestbook from a fellow who'd just read that new WWII novel, "THE TRIUMPH AND THE GLORY" and r

I served in the Navy for five years on board the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN-71). I just recently watched The Fighting Sullivan's movie. It captivated me so much that I had to find out more about them. What a tragedy, but what courage they had and love
for each other knowing there possible destiny. Praise God for men who fought and fight for our country.

She was my first introduction to the "Real Navy."
As a reservist,(CT-M, SN) I spent two weeks aboard
her and as we returned from Prince Edward Island, we skirted the edges of hurricane Dora in '65.
I determined at that point that any other sea duty
would not be aboard anything I could throw a rock across! I made the Navy my career, eventually
serving aboard CV-42, CV-62, and retired
off LHA-2.

Being a veteran of the US Army and a true believer of God & country, every chance I get to see the movie concerning the Sullivan men, I watch it. Today is actually the first time I have researched to learn more about them. They were truly heroes and this
ountry could never do enough to honor them. It's too bad we have lost some of what they stood for in today's society.
